Mojo 109 and an update

Where have I been??? Its been a very busy couple of weeks with the BIG move and then my birthday suprise of going away for a couple of nights. I still haven't managed to fully get in routine again and for those that know me I CANNOT FUNCTION without a strong routine!!! Nevertheless I have been having a ball totally chilling out! Here's a couple of pics of the house on top of the hill. It felt like I was on top of the world.

My only neighbours were cows, and here's a view of what I woke up to every morning and then of course the house. I can highly recommend a stay at the White Cliffs Retreat!!!

So enough of where I have been. Its now time to share some of the challenges that I have TOTALLY missed the deadline on. Here's my take on the Mojo challenge 109. It was awesome to crack out my new Swiss Pixies - Birgitta stamp. She is gorgeous to colour. I have also used the Pink Flamingo DSP and the white circle metal edge tags from SU. The sentiment is from AmyR Stamps called Congrats sentiments.

OOps sorry missed some

Fancy missing the cards out that your OWN daughters made! What kind of mum am I?? A very proud one. On Sunday my girls (Kyra 7yrs, Paige 5yrs and Anika 4yrs) sat down to make some birthday cards for their mum. All I did was cut cardstock for them and they did the rest. They were so excited to be able to use "mummy's" stuff and they were all very careful and planned them down to the last detail. Fab cards and we had a great time. Must try and do this more often, they amazed me with their creativity. Ahh girls after my own heart.

Hopefully I will have some more to show you that I have actually made but for now I need to go and pack as one of my presents was a 2 night stay BY MYSELF in a batch by the beach. Can't wait I'm off in the morning.
Thanks for looking LOL Tamara

Withdrawals and moving house

I can hardly believe that it has been over a week without computer access. Its really like someone cut off my arm!!!! So our big move is over and we are pretty much settled in our temp house until our house is built. Its a lovely big place set on 3 acres and the kids are loving the chance to explore. This is the first time any of them can remember moving yet they have all handled it so very well. So I don't have a lot to share with you in regards to my cards but I am very excited to show you some of the cards I have received this week.
These are house warming cards we have received. Aren't they awesome??
One is from my mum and my nieces from Perth, Western Australia (see you soon you lovely ladies). and the fab house shaped card is from my bestest eva Cherie who is always so very inspiring for me and I like to think of myself as her greatest FAN! Thank you so much mum, gem, hayley and cherie. Love you all heaps and ta for being there!

I have another post all ready to go for today so will sign off to make a start on that one. Be warned though it is ultra BIG!
Gee its great to be back!

SplitCoast Stampers Sketch # 249

Wow was this a fun ensemble to make. If you haven't already you really must MUST check out this blog "melstampz.blogspot.com". This girl is amazing and inspires me CONSTANTLY! The purse below is from Mel's blog and she gives you the entire run down and gives away her templates FREE!

I have used last weeks Sketch challenge from splitcoast SC249 for this card. It has been sooooo longgg since I have been able to play along with these challenges. Gee I wish someone knew how to give me a few more hours in the day. And in saying that, I think that this may be my last post for about a week as we gear up to move house THIS Friday. Wow its all happening now.

Anyway who needs to hear all about my carryons.... Here's my take on the SC249 challenge.

and a close up of my attempt at colouring (using my copics) my new Kiki La Rue stamps from All That Scraps along with my new Sugar Plums Fence. All very very cute images and lots of fun to play with.

And for those that know me I had to make matching packaging and thats where Mel's bag came in ultra handy. Check out the dinky feet on the bottom of the bag. I have used the gorgeous sweet always DSp (SU) and regal rose, pumpkin pie, whisper white and pink pirouette cardstock.

Thanks for looking and I hope to catch you real soon.

Mojo 107

I actually completed this sketch days ago but with all the activity going on in this house lately I have only had until now to blog it! Another fab fun sketch from the Mojo Makers, thanks ladies.

I have used the divine Urban Oasis DSP abd gorgeous Kiwi Kiss Corduroy brads. The stamps sets are inspired by Nature and Alway (which hasn't been on my craft table for eons!!)

It was really fun playing with colours that I haven't pl;ayed with for awhile.

So here's my take on the sketch

AmyR Friday Sketch TFS6

I am slowly working through my to do list prior to the big shift in a weeks time. I have a fabulous friend who has a birthday coming up and after seeing Amy R's Friday sketch this week I was all inspired and created this using the Eric & Chrissy Goes Prehistoric set I have just received from All That Scraps (love that store and they have fabulous service!). My friend loves red so out came that fabulous Bella Rose DSP and Riding Hood Red. How are SU ever going to top these current in colours???? Anyway enough chat. Here's my take on the sketch. I love the sentiment which says "Does this bone make my butt look big?". Sometimes when you reach a certain age its just better to laugh about it!!!

And of course as I love matching the packaging I have made the 12x12 Purse which is the latest offering from the team at We Stamp. This purse looks so elegant and it was really easy to put together. Should be able to fit quite a few chocolates in it too (LOL).

and the ensemble together.

And so there you have it. My current offering for cyberspace. Thanks for looking and enjoy your Wednesday.

A Ballet Thankyou

Just a quick post this morning. Made a special thank you card for my friend Wendy who has just made Kyras' new competition ballet tutu. She has done a fantabulous job and Kyra just loves it. I have used the Enchanted Lilly set from Pink Cat Studio with the background stamp being Su's Gratuitious Graffiti. This card came together really easy as I had a theme thought out right from the start. I have coloured the image with my copics and then created a tutu with left over fabric. I really enjoyed making this ultra girly card. I have used pink pirouette with pink passion and my spica pens to have the sparkly effect.

Here's a close up of the coloured image and "tutu". Thanks for looking LOL Tamara

Challenges, Christmas and a busy weekend

Well its been a busy couple of days but of course I always somehow manage to fit in a couple of hours of stamping! I have been frantically ticking of my to do list(which incidentally seems to grow rather than deplete LOL). With the big move fast approaching (2 weeks) I really have to keep sorting and packing. The house is really starting to look bare.
First off was a small box for my nieces for christmas (Oma please don't show them this). I figure I am pretty safe putting this up before Christmas as they have gone away camping this week. I just needed something to house a couple of small sparkly items so used one of Laurens templates again. I just adore her packaging.

The next project was to come up with the challenge card for our stamp club which was to use the word picture (Psalm 23) "he makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters". And/Or use only complimentary colours of which I used Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. I had this stamp from All That Scraps " Magnolia Waterfall Background" which although of course not Stampin Up, which we are encouraged to use, it certainly spoke volumes to me in regard to our challenge. So if I fail I fail but I just love how it turned out. What the photos fail to show are all the sparkles i have used to really make it come alive and "pop". IRL it is very cute.

Lastly I need to show you the teachers gifts I have made for Christmas this year. I KNOW its really early huh but if I don't start now I will never make it. I have made 10 cards and 10 boxes which will house note books, chocolate and hot chocolate (I think!!?) I will probably change my mind ten times before they go out but at least I have got this far.
The card

and 5 out of the 10 showing all the different papers and colours I used. The Holiday Treasures paper is gorgeous.
Well thanks for looking and sorry for the longgggg post. I just took the opportunity while I had it to load this on. Have an awesome Sunday!
