Farewell Shona and Happy Birthday Rosie

Wow another week flies by and its the end of term three so all the kids are home! I LOVE school holidays. No rushing around, no after school activities, stay in PJ's until I can be bothered getting dressed (or someone knocks at the door lol) and just hanging out in general.

The 3 girls and I are off tomorrow for a girls trip to Hawera for dancing competitions. Whilst it is only 1 hours drive it will be nice to be away from the house and just in a different place. Should be fun. I know the girls are excited.

Here's a card I made last week for Rosie's 6th birthday party that Paige attended today. Paige wanted to buy her some stationery and as we don't have a Smiggle here in New Plymouth she had to make do with some mega cute little containers filled with scissors, tiny stapler, minature highlighters and clips etc from Warehouse Stationery all in pink. Very cute and I remembered seeing a small case type box somewhere so I gave it a go. Here's the result and the matching card.

Our good friend Shona has moved back to Auckland (sob). We are going to miss her very creative mind and awesome projects and her awesome sense of humour at stamp club. Have fun being "back home" Shona. Will be in touch. Anyways someone at convention had used the wing from the SU bird punch to create tulips on their card. I thought that was a great idea and here's my take on it with of course a matching bag which I gave to Shona last week. It was so much fun getting out some of the new Su colours and DSP.

Well I hope you have all had a great week and thanks for looking LOL Tamara

A 21st, mums, dads, girls what a mixture!!!!

What a mixture of cards I have made lately. We have had a cousins 21st (long time since I have had to attend one of those lol), fathers day, MIL's birthday and of course the mandatory obligatory girls birthday parties to attend. The variety has been great however it sure feels as if I am chasing my tail these days. I can happily report that I have received a big box from Stampin Up filled with lots of new goodies. If you would like to have a look at these awesome new products give me a call.

This card and bag was for Liesje's 21st birthday. (I believe its called a marquee card?) Lots of fun to make and super easy. I found the instructions on splitcoast.

This was made for Paige's soccer coach. Skiv was amazing for the kids and extremely patient as they were only 5 and 6 year olds playing for the first time.

My MIL will be in Zambia for her birthday (the in laws are missionaries) so she got to open this early. Of course the bag was filled with choccies and a small amount of bling.

And this was for Father's Day. My Dad is FAB and has always been there for me and even though I moved to a land far far away (sounds like Shrek huh!) he is still a constant support and being a parent myself now I can appreciate what sacrifices he has made even more. He is now Grandad to 6 gorgeous grandkids and is even more giving to them. An amazing man and I love him heaps (see you soon Dad, can't wait till new years!!!).

And as you already know if you have seen my blog before, a ton of projects I do are for girl birthday parties. Kyra recently had two very close together so they got the same thing to save me a bit of time just in a different colour combo.

Thank you so much for looking and hope you have a fabulous week. Blessings LOl T

A real motley of stuff

Was just going through my camera to delete photos and realised that I hadn't posted some of the projects I had done while I was so quiet on this blog. Won't go into detail but should you wish to know any please let me know.

I am starting to sort through all the stuff on my desk just waiting for the postman to bring new SU papers, ribbon and other exciting accessories for me to play with. Hopefully I can post some new stuff really soon.

Thanks for Netball

My older daughter plays netball and I as a proud mum can say she's really good too. This is the card we made to thank her coach. I always knew I would use the Go Netball stamp set at some stage, lol. We also decorated a simple small noodle box and filled it with chocolate (of course) to match the card. So simple but heartfelt.

Thanks for looking. LOL T

Butterflies everywhere!!

Hope you have all had a great week. Mine has been extremely busy but somehow, no matter what time of night I still manage to find time to make something. I find it all so very theraputic.

So onto the butterflies. At Stamp Club with Cherie the other week we made a "toolbox" card ready for fathers day using the scallop envelope die (SU) in the Big Shot and so when I was handed another invite for one of my girls to go to another birthday party I figured I could have a go at making a girly version of the one from Cherie. And so here it is along with a butterfly bag from Lauren.

Just as a "by the way" I have the new SU 2010/11 Idea Book and Catalogue in my possession. If I had only one word to describe it, it would be WOW! I can't wait to get some of the new items to play with!
Thanks for looking and have a great day. LOL T
