Inkspirations Sketch Challenge 17

LOVE LOVE LOVE Makeesha Byl and her challenges however haven't been able to play for so longggg. I needed to add to my Christmas card total so used her sketch to make this. I totally missed the deadline but it was fun all the same.

I have recently found Flower Soft and this one is called Vintage Christmas. I really enjoyed giving this card its 3-D effect with this. The stamps are all from All That Scraps.

So here is her sketch and my take on it.

Thanks for looking have a lovely day. LOL Tamara

Mojo Monday 117

Well its all happening! I have had the most amazing albiet VERY busy week but am thrilled that I haven't been into the office and am officially an at home MUM! The kids have all had tons of stuff on with school and kindy and I have been able to attend it all and even made genie bags with one of my daughters class. So much fun and I am LOVING it.
So suprise suprise my eldest daughter was invited to another party last night and she had a ball. They had a fish and chip night with a movie with lots of time for the girls to play and it was a lot of fun. What a great idea for a party (well done Rebecca!!).
So I used this weeks Mojo sketch for her card and the new Tall Tales DSP. The stamp is Apple Emma from All That Scraps and I have used Crackle Accents on the cut out apples just for something different. I have also made a bag which is a Lauren Meader Template called "its on the house".
Here's the sketch and my take on it

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend. LOL Tamara

Another Christmas Card - A CASE

I Love love love this card. It is a CASE (sorry I don't have your name, but you are brilliant and I thank you!). I love how the colours work and that I finally used my cuttle bug for some embossing instead of just for my nesties for a change. I love the pearls and the use of ribbon. Am looking forward to sending this one out.

I have used real red with pink pirouette and tons of dazzling diamonds. I have also used the Christ is Born stamp set.

Thanks for looking LOL Tamara

Flight of the Butterfly and a Basket

I know, I know.... Christmas is fast approaching and I am still making Birthday cards and accessories. Unbelievable but my eldest daughter has another 2 parties to go to tomorrow. I did enjoy myself of course as I was able to use my new butterfly punch with the Flight of the Butterflies stamp set. Too easy and lots of fun. I have made the basket using guidelines from Lauren Meaders "timeless templates" called Basket Basics.

I have also used the Tea Party DSP and co-ordinated buttons now retired.

Thanks for looking once again

Mojo Monday 116

I have a couple of postings for tonight just to once again prove that I have not been idle. Its all happening now. Christmas is around the corner and I am busy preparing for a very exciting break back home (to sunny Perth) and I have yet to complete and send out my Christmas cards which in past years I have definately finished by now. So I will be keeping things brief.

Here is this weeks Mojo sketch and my take on it. I have once again used the Ski Slope DSP and the Snow Swirled stamp set. I have also used the gorgeous new Real Red Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon from our Summer Mini. Just loving it.

A Very Special Birthday

Wow the kids have actually left me along enough to share another post with you today. Who would have thought??? This gift went to a very very special lady in my life who had a birthday yesterday. I sure hope you had a lovely day yesterday Cherie. We LOVE you!!!!

Cheries' favourite colour is blue hence why I used Temping Turquoise and as I had the Pixie Pink out already I thought why not. The house is another of Lauren Meaders Timeless Templates called "Home Made" and I have used the Swiss Pixies "Heidi Among the Flowers". It was intended to be very girly as I am very conscious that Cherie is surrounded by blokes at her house!!!!

Thanks again for looking. We are off to visit with Santa for our annual photo. Wonder how many kids will cry this year. Its always one of them. LOL Tamara

Mojo Monday 115

I managed to have a chance to play with the latest Mojo Monday 115 sketch. You'll have to excuse the colours though. Yes I like bright colours IRL but to put pixie pink and green galore together was a wee bit of a challenge for me. There is a reason and I am not sure you want to hear it but sorry here goes anyway. At our church we run a program called IFG (ICONZ for Girls) and our uniform colours are bright pink and bright green. So when it was requested that I under take the task of providing a gift for our leader I of course had to colour co-ordinate it. We have been running just under 3 school terms now and its for 8-11 and over year old girls and is a branch of the Girls Brigade. We have a fabulous leader (Hi Jo) who does an amazing ton of work to provide fun, adventure and fellowship to both community and church girls. I tell you as one of the leaders I have done things that I never would have tried before and in the process have made some amazing connections with young girls. Praise God we are making a difference in their lives!

Well enough about that. If you would like to know more about the program you can email me poppaspeppers@xtra.co.nz.

So here's the sketch and my take on it. I have used the new SU Kaleidescope DSP and new stamp set For Everything.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday 114

Wow another week has flown by so very fast once again. I have been really busy with little time left to play at my desk but I did manage to find a little time to join in with the latest Mojo sketch. This card has been made for a special lady who helps out at our mainly music on our theme days who is very creative herself. I sure hope she likes it! I have used the gorgeous Urban Garden DSP with the Brand New "For Everything" stamp set which can be ordered from the new Summer Mini from 1st December. I love this one already and I have only just mounted it!!!

Here's the sketch

Here's my take on it

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely weekend! After church this morning a group of us ladies are going back to church to start setting up for the BIG party we are having on Tuesday for Mainly Music. The theme is Jesus' Birthday and we are combining both our sessions (100 kids) to celebrate. It is going to be soooo much fun.

Gretel and another birthday!

I know! Anyone would think that all we do in our family is attend birthday parties. It is certainly starting to feel this way. I have confessed in the past though that I just love everything matching! The ability to create cards and gift packing that all go together is a real joy of mine which leads me into this ensemble.

This is for a lovely young lady who is turning 8 (Happy Birthday Ollie!!!) I have used the Swiss Pixies Stamp "Gretel" for this one and after colouring her with copics I used sequins stickles for her wings. The photo may not show it properly but it is all very sparkly. I have used a butterfly stamp from a new set in the SU Summer Mini (starts 1st December) called "For Everything" and I can't wait to play more with this set as it is sooo cute. I stamped it in versamark and then heat and stick finishing with dazzling diamonds for a very sparkly background for Gretel. Can you see the button on the top right corner. It is also in the new summer mini from the "Sherbert" Designer button collection. Gorgeous gorgeous colours in buttons in this mini and I can't wait to play with them all. And again I have used the Kaleidescope DSP (it was still on my desk so why not!!!) LOL!

There is a box filled with lollies and a money holder. It is sooo awesome in this day and age that parents are just asking for a monetary gift. It certainly takes the pressure off buying a gift which is never near the limit you seem to set yourself LOL! All I did to create this money holder was measure the note and fold around it. Very simple and had to be last minute as we have been out so many nights lately that I just haven't been fitting in much crafting time.

Thanks so much for looking. Have a lovely day. LOL Tamara

Under the Sea

Oh yay another excuse to use the Sugar Plums "Underwater" set from CC Designs. Another birthday party this weekend with an underwater/beach theme which of course made this set the perfect one to use and coupled with Amy R Stamps "Underwater Sentiments" my card is complete.

I have used Platinum liquid pearls to make her pearls really realistic and mermaid stickles for her bodice.

I must say I am pretty pleased with how this turned out. It will hopefully make a 6 year old very happy.

Again I used the new Kaleidoscope DSP as per the previous post and my copics and stickles. Am starting to think I am becoming far too predictable but I am really enjoying myself.

Here's the card

and the tote that I did in the previous post however of course a change in colour.

Thanks for looking LOL Tamara

For a very special Ballet Teacher

All 3 of my daughters attend ballet and absolutely LOVE their ballet teacher Miss Chere. She is simply fabulous and it was her birthday last Sunday. Here's what the girls presented her with.

I have used a stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps titled "Ballerina" which is guess is pretty self explanatory LOL! I have used my Copics to colour (I am SOOOO Addicted to colouring now!) and have also used the Spica glitter pens for extra effect.
To top it all off I got to play with the new SU DSP out of the new Summer mini catalogue called Kaleidoscope. Very pretty colours and yep very summery. The new mini starts on the 1st of December and it has some very cool stuff in it! The tote is another of Lauren Meaders and full of "Favourite Chocolates". This tote was big enough to hold a whole box oh yeh except for the one I had to taste test to make sure they were up to standard (teehee).
Well I hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks for looking.

Mojo 112 and so much more

Good morning all! Its been another week since my last update but boy what a busy time I have had. There seems to be a HUGE amount of people having birthdays at present and we are in the process of planning for the "silly" season fast approaching. I LOVE Christmas but the leadup is pretty busy. Anyways enough complaints as I wouldn't have it any other way!

Here's my take on the latest Mojo sketch. I have made this birthday card for a very very special young man in our lives. Mason celebrates his 5th Birthday this week and is off to school. Hope you have a fabulous birthday Mason and all the best for your first day of school. I have used the "Dirt Rides" stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps and the Good Morning Sunshine DSP.

Here's the sketch and my take on it with a close up of the bike complete with glitter from the baby blue Spica Pen and the inside

Today is Uncle Tia's birthday and I have used the Billy Stamps from Pink Cat Studios for this one along with the Windsor Knot DSP. Even though he is a grown-up surely he will like this one?

and the inside

I have quite a few clear noodle boxes in my stash so I simply decorated it and added the mandatory chocolates (and yep I had to test a few to make sure of quality control (LOL).

And if you are still with me after all the above I need to finish up with this one which is a Sad to see you go card. This one is for Nicolle and her family who we were priviledged to know while they were on contract in New Plymouth for just over a year. They are off home to sunny warm Perth next week. The SU stamp set called Welcome Home and was just what I needed to create this. I have used the gorgeous Walk in the Park DSP. Just wait til you see the absolutely gorgeous new papers that are in the new Summer Mini. Can't wait to play with them tonight.

Thanks for looking. Have a lovely day LOL Tamara

I MUST APOLOGISE: - I have absolutely no idea why I am having such trouble editing this. It looks atrocious but I am getting so annoyed with it I am posting anyways. SORRY
